ULTRAFILTRATION (UF) PLANT
An Ultrafiltration (UF) Plant is an advanced membrane-based filtration system designed to remove suspended solids, turbidity, fine particles, colloidal matter and microorganisms from water and treated wastewater.
UF systems are widely used as a tertiary treatment after STP & ETP, as well as in Water Treatment Plants and as pre-treatment for RO systems. It produces clear and consistently filtered water suitable for reuse or further treatment.

TREATMENT PROCESS
UF Treatment Process

UF Feed Tank
Collects treated water from STP, ETP, WTP or other water treatment processes before UF filtration.

UF Feed Pump
Supplies water to the UF system at the required flow and operating pressure.

Pre-Filter / Strainer
Removes larger suspended particles and protects the UF membranes from blockage.

UF Membrane
Provides fine membrane filtration to remove suspended solids, turbidity, colloidal particles and microorganisms, producing clear filtered water.

Backwash System
Periodically cleans the UF membrane by reversing the flow of filtered water to remove accumulated impurities and maintain system performance.
06
Chemical Cleaning / CEB System
Used when required for periodic membrane cleaning and maintaining filtration efficiency.
